Bomb Technicians: build a solid foundation in electronics. This course provides bomb technicians with the fundamental principles of bomb fuzing and firing systems. Students will learn the basics of electricity including Ohm’s law, series/parallel circuits, Kirchoff’s law, and power sources. DTC will teach technicians how to read and interpret circuit schematics. Considerable time will be allotted to practice using protoboards and to build circuits composed of mechanical switches, improvised switches, electromechanical switches, and discrete semi-conductors. All equipment and tools are provided for use and technicians will master soldering. Each student will receive an electronic component kit, a course book, and certificate of completion.
