ALARM BYPASS AND WIRE ATTACK COURSE

This course provides public safety bomb technicians and EOD specialists with the tools and methods for alarm bypass and for wire attack.

Learn about the tools and methods for alarm bypass and for wire attack. Operators learn how to employ gagging and electronic neutralization of sensors. Students are taught advanced techniques and equipment to avoid detection. Participants will receive a training device, The Substitute Teacher, which will be used to practice wire attack procedures. Technicians will see an improvement in overall proficiency in manual techniques.  The course includes blasting cap and switch diagnostics instruction. Students will be taught how alarm systems function and will study wired and wireless alarm system assemblies. The electronic bypass of sensors is a complex process of taking measurements and then using specialized devices to electronically separate the sensor from the alarm system.  DTC will issue each student their own substitution tool to keep in their kits. Technicians will learn about the variety of sensors in alarm systems and how they respond to intrusion. There will be exercises and demonstrations using more than seven different sensor types so students understand how they function, their detection range and coverage, sensitivity, immunities, and vulnerabilities. The course will culminate with two full-scale exercises to conduct alarm bypass in organic environments using commercial alarm systems.
